Who Goes To a Tumango Event?
The majority of our participants are busy Latin professionals people who value their time. Will I meet people of all ages?
No, all of our events are age compatible. All sessions are designed with a 10 year or less age range which can change from month to month. For example, one month we may have 22-32, 43-53 and the next we might have 18-25, 26-36 and 45-55. We've found that most people want to meet others that are close to their age. For those who don't, read the next question and answer. We also have special events for people who desire to meet significantly older or younger people.

What About Exceptions To Age Or Interest Categories?
I'm 29 but prefer someone older, but the event I want to attend says it's for singles who are 33-43 can I still attend this event session instead of one in my own age range? … OR … I'm Caucasian but am interested in meeting someone who is Hispanic, can I attend a Special Event that says it's for Latin Singles? YES.

How many people can I expect to meet in a night?
Typically 15 to 19 (and sometimes as many at 23).

What if there's only a few people there?
This shouldn't happen. We know how many people are registered before event day. Fortunately, our events are very popular and nearly always sell out.

How long does a session take?
Due to the fact that most events are sold out, we usually have 2 sessions, one before the other. Each session will have a specific age range and/or interest group. Typically, the first session will begin around 6:00 PM and the second session begins around 8:30 PM. Each session takes about an hour and a half.

How much time do I have to talk to someone?
Typically 8 minutes per person but depending upon attendance and other things you may have 10 minutes or as high as 12 minutes. We'll let you know how much time you have before we start the event.

8 minutes doesn't seem like a lot of time, is it enough?
Remember, you're not on a date; you're on a Tumango dating event! Tumango is a great way to see if you'd be interested in a full date or just more conversation later. Sometimes 8 minutes is way too long if you know what we mean. But in 8 minutes most people can tell if there's physical chemistry, if they like the way someone speaks, if the person is mature and intelligent, and if they want to know more. At which point they'd select YES on the Match Sheet and hopefully the other person would do the same!

What should I talk about?
You'll see that once you start the event everything just flows. But don't worry; we'll give you some “Topic Tips” to help you out. One tip, think about what you'd want to know before going on a date with the person. Some people ask harmless easy questions like "What hobbies do you have" or "What area of town do you live in" and others ask tough questions like "When is the last time you lied to someone". The possibilities are endless but relax and try not to be too serious, just have fun. Another tip, try to avoid the more mundane questions like "what do you do" and "where are you from" as this can be repetitive. Try to stand out and differentiate yourself from the others. And if you are sitting across from someone you're not attracted to, please remember that they still have a story to tell

How should I dress for the event?
It's your call. Shorts and flip-flops might not project the best image however! Seriously, many people come directly from work so you'll see business casual or even a suit or two. If it's a later event session people might be dressed down a bit but you probably won't see any torn blue jeans. You know what to do, be comfortable, look good, and smile!

How will my matches contact me?
When you arrive you get your Match Sheet, where you will write your email address or phone number at the top of your sheet. It's your decision which one you want your matches to have. You can provide both if you wish and your matches will have 2 different ways to get in touch.

How long does it take before I get my matches?
You will receive your Match the moment you login to Tumango.

What if I don't get any matches?
It can happen but over two-thirds of our participants get at least one match (some get quite a few!) and some events have even had 100% people get a match! If you're real picky and only say Yes to 1 or 2 people, then it might take a second event to get a match, then again, maybe not! Our advice is if you're not completely sure just say Yes because you never know

What if there aren't any matches, will I still get an email?
Yes, your email will simply state that there were no matches for you. If this happens, don't sweat it. Remember, it takes two to tango as they say. Everyone has a preference, including you! The email will instruct you how to take advantage of our Match Guarantee program.

Most events range from only $10-$40 and others are free. Specific interest events may be a bit higher. The investment amount is clearly shown when you register and varies slightly from city to city. If you pay by credit card, you will see the amount and Tumango on your credit card statement.

Certainly, we accept checks online and in the mail. After filling out the registration form and proceeding to the secure server, you will have the choice to select credit card or online check. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover. There is also a way you can fax your registration and lastly in person but you must call our customer service center for more information.
